Zheng Jing, born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, China in 1976, works in China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. He is the vice president of School of Sculpture and Public Art; the academic head of the Public Art; dean of Faculty of Public Space Art; and academic director of Studio of Engineer and Technology of Art. He focuses his art creation on the development of languages of sculpture and public art, especially on “non-solid media” and “non-material media”, integrating art, modern science and technology. He created works for the World Expo, G20 Summit and other large-scale public art events. In recent years, Zheng Jing, in relation to his researches at hand, continuously organized series of international themed public art exhibitions, devoted to promoting the innovation and development of sculpture and public art.
Besides participating in art exhibitions, Zheng Jing is also an active curator. He organized and created Qi, Life and Energy:China & French Medium Art Exhibition, and was selected for 2019 Paris Nuit Blanche; The work of the 2018 International Workshop of Super Technology Landscape were selected to France's Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Etienne; he curated and organized Light, Time and Garden: China & Thailand Light Media Art Exhibition; he curated the first China Jiangning Qinhuai River International Light and Shadow Art Exhibition and created the work Light Across the Tweet for it; he organized and created for the Public Space Art Exhibition in 2018 Wuzhen Theater Festival; he cooperated with theater director Meng Jinghui on the Space & Narrative Performance Plan: The Mermaid By The Backwater.
