Lin Yifan, born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China in 1994, currently works and lives in Hangzhou. She graduated from the Department of Fiber Art in CAA with a master degree where she learnt from Professor Shi Hui and Assadour Markarov. Out of her concern for special groups that are common but neglected in society and with a background in participatory art, she works and exploits public art with group participating. Lin Yifan began to conceive and create the Touch art project at the end of 2018,and dived into the lives and studies of special children groups, to reveal each child's unique character and behavior through participatory and interactive activities. She set about to break down barriers and obstacles, building a field for all children to participate, empathize and share, eliminating the prejudice of being “special”. This collaborative and continuous art project renders her unique artistic expression into the public view and discussion. Her work has been exhibited in exhibitions such as HfBK ASA Studios Exhibition ( Hamburg, Germany, 2018).
