Map, a kind of international self-explantory language, is a schematic diagram of territory and can link the world as a whole. Daily use of map is to regard it as a source of location, routes, network and boundary. It also offers us a way to describe and understand where we cannot touch, from the air line in the sky to one’s thinking model. It means a method to collect, command and record knowledge. Each map is organised by colours indicating political, cultural and social conditions or imaginative experience of mappers.
British artist Susan Stockwell will lead the FAB-LAB Workshop to co-scale an imaginative map of Hangzhou on 30th, Oct. 2015.
