On the 14th of May 2103, the interviews for volunteers interested in participating in the inaugural 2013 cycle of the Hangzhou Triennial of Fiber Art came to a close in the packed exhibition halls of the Zhejiang Art Museum. 

        Enlisting volunteers for this year’s Triennial involved almost one month of recruitment activities in University student campuses including the Nanshan and Xiangshan campuses of the China Academy of Art (CAA), Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics, Zhejiang Water Conservancy and Hydropower College, Zhejiang Gongshang University, China Jiliang University, Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, Zhejiang Techical Institute of Architecture, Zhejiang Shuren University, Hangzhou School of Vocational Art, Hangzhou Normal University, the Xixi and Zijin Gang campuses of Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Polytechnic Institute of Economics and Trade. The events garnered support from a huge number of schools and students, along with numerous other parties. The total number of volunteers who registered at these events reached the one thousand mark.

          Between the 12th and th 14th of May, having completed the various tasks involved in all stages of recruitment, application and interview and on the basis of primary and reserve recruitment models, a total of 88 volunteers were finally selected.
